    Mission Control Department is currently seeking a Patient Transporter who will provide service excellence and support the hospital's mission, vision and values through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.

     

    **** Hours: 2p-10p ****

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for assisting with the cleaning and maintaining of the surgery department 
    • Provides a clean and safe environment for the performance of surgical procedures
    • Demonstrates the ability to transport patients in a safe and efficient manner 
    • Treats patients with respect and dignity  
    • Possesses requisite level of communication skills  and knowledge to transport patients safely 
    • Demonstrates knowledge concerning fiscal care of supplies and equipment

    Qualifications

    Requires knowledge of Federal and State regulatory agency standards related to cleaning of the surgical suite.  Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to properly clean, disinfect rooms and equipment.   The ability to assess, communicate and present information both verbally and in writing required as in the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written word.  Must be flexible with work scheduling.  Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.

     

    • High School diploma or equivalent is required
    • Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification is required
    • 6 months of experience in this area is preferred
