    We are currently seeking a Certified Surgical Tech to work in our Labor & Delivery Department in Rockwall, Texas, and who will provide service excellence and support the hospital's mission, vision and values through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.

    Responsibilities

    Performs as a Certified Scrub Tech/Unit Secretary for obstetrical surgical procedures and minor gynecological procedures, completes audits and manages logbooks.

     

    Protects confidentiality of patient information, prioritizes own workload.

     

    Assist Manager or Unit Leader in maintaining supplies and equipment on nursing unit, by greeting visitors, answering telephones, and directing traffic. 

     

    Communicates admissions, discharges, transfers, expirations to appropriate departments.

     

    Enter procedure charges in computer information system in those areas responsible for charge posting.

     

    Notifies appropriate departments of patient disposition through computer communications or phone.

    Qualifications

    - High School diploma or GED required

    - Current Certified Surgical Tech Certification required

    - Current American Heart Association BLS certification required

    - 1 year of CST experience
