    Currently seeking an ER Case Manager, RN, to work in our Case Management Department who will provide service excellence and support the hospital's mission, vision and values through appropriate conduct and demeanor at all times.


                                                                                                                           *** FT, 80 Hours/per pay period ***


    The ER RN Case Manager will be responsible for assisting with the coordination of care for patients by facilitating disposition to the appropriate level of care. Will be responsible for the coordinating of discharge planning; utilization review functions; and utilizing Interqual review criteria to determine appropriate level of care and admission status. Responsible for maintaining and identifying resources to meet patient needs, while promoting cost effective outcomes. Assist in identification of overutilization of ED services and provides education/resources available to patients and families. Responsibilities and duties may be revised as the needs of this position are identified.


    Requires knowledge of Federal, State and required regulatory agency standards related to health care organizations.  Cognitive and technical knowledge and ability to progressively manage case load is required; The ability to retrieve, communicate and present data and information both verbally and in writing is required as in the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken and written word.  Must be flexible with work scheduling.  Involves discretion and independent action within prescribed limits.

    • Associate's Degree Required
    • Bachelor's Degree Preferred
    • Current TX RN License Required
    • 1-3 years Case Management experience OR 3-5 years recent experience in clinical nursing is required
