Our Food & Nutrition Department is now hiring for a FT Dietary Tech to work in our Rockwall facility. 

 

                 **FT, 11:00am-7:30pm, Rotating Weekends**

Responsibilities

 

The Dietary Tech assists with delivering and pickup of food served to patients care areas and assists with production and all other services required for all aspects of meal service required and must be capable to prepare food following instructions while adhering to all safety and health standards. They must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach.

 

The goal is to follow instructions and standards to provide excellent food services.

  • Prepare meals according to daily instructions under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
  • Deliver food dishes or trays to individuals at designated times and rooms
  • Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware to ensure good hygiene
  • Stock food preparation material and ingredients and monitor inventory to report inadequacies
  • Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning
  • Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances in the best possible condition

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

- One year experience in Cafe or Healthcare setting

- Knowledge of basic food preparation.

- Ablity to use necessary food service equiment.
